EU countries could sanction Poland over rule of law dispute

Poland could become the first ever European Union country to face sanctions from its fellow EU member states.

The Polish government's overhaul of the judiciary and a clampdown on media freedoms have prompted the European Commission to launch a rule of law investigation.
