Austrian lawmakers seize Hitler's birthplace after years of controversy

The house in which Adolf Hitler was born will now be seized by the Austrian parliament after lawmakers in Vienna voted in favour of the move.

The issue has been engulfed in controversy for many years with the house's owner refusing to sell or to do any renovations.
