Evacuation buses and ambulances have been leaving rebel areas of the Syrian city of Aleppo.
The evacuations had been halted after a deal was threatened by the torching of buses sent to rescue people from government-controlled areas.
Hundreds of people are thought to have left rebel-held areas on Sunday, but thousands more are waiting to leave.
The UN Security Council will vote later on a compromise deal to allow UN monitoring of the evacuation process.
US ambassador to the UN Samantha Power is hopeful it will pass.
