Britain's Electoral Commission has opened an investigation into the finances of the UK's Independent Party or UKIP which came to international prominence during the Brexit campaign for Britain to leave the European Union.
It comes after an investigation by the European Parliament suggested the party should repay around one hundred and eighty thousand US dollars which had been wrongly spent. From London, Catherine Drew reports.
