Members of the European Parliament set to vote to halt Turkish EU accession talks

Members of the European Parliament have voted to freeze talks with Turkey on the country's accession process to join the European Union. 

The vote throws the EU's deal with Turkey on tackling the migration crisis into question.

{MEPs voted 479 in favour of ended the process, with 37 against and 107 abstentions}
