At least 120 are dead in Italy, following an earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale, near Perugia.
The historic town of Amatrice is essentially destroyed, but an Italian firefighter chief reported, an 8-year-old girl was pulled alive from the rubble, as the search and rescue operations continue.
