U.S. intelligence was aware and was monitoring the Russian hack of the Democratic National Committee a year before the political party was informed, Reuters reports.
Last month, it was revealed that the email servers were hacked when the FBI confirmed their own investigation, just days before the Democrat's nomnating convention in Philadelphia.
