Criticism of Hijab-wearing UK newsreader sparks 800 complaints

More than 800 complaints have been received by a UK press regulator against a British journalist who criticised a newsreader for wearing a hijab while reporting on the Nice terror attack.

Kelvin MacKenzie wrote in his newspaper column he 'could hardly believe his eyes' when he saw Muslim journalist Fatima Manji wearing the traditional headscarf while presenting Channel 4 News, which contained a report on the massacre.
