BORIS: NO APOLOGIES

The UK's new Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson says he will not be apologising to the list of international figures to have offended before taking on the role.

Mr Johnson, speaking alongside US Secretary of State John Kerry in London, said many of his comments over his career as a journalist have been taken out of context.

John Kerry said the US-UK relationship remains vital to the world, and called for Britain to remain positively engaged with the European Union despite its Brexit vote.

And Boris says the UK wants to remain a global player.
