Britain has voted to leave the European Union after a record turnout of 33 million voters. The Leave campaign won with 52 per cent of the vote, against the Remain camp's 48 per cent.
The country was divided, with London, Scotland and Northern Ireland wanting to stay part of Europe. Questions have now be raised about a second referendum on Scottish independence. From London, Catherine Drew reports.
