UK PM TO RESIGN

UK Prime Minister David Cameron is to resign after Britain voted to leave the European Union.

A referendum saw the country vote 52 to 48% in favour of a so-called Brexit.

Favourites to replace David Cameron include his finance minister George Osborne, Home Secretary Theresa May and former London Mayor Boris Johnson.

UK correspondent Olly Barratt is at Westminster and says the political manoeuvres are underway following David Cameron's announcement.
