Russian and US Foreign Ministers discuss peace in Syria

The foreign ministers from the United States and Russia spoke over the
phone Friday to discuss plans to try and end Syria's civil war.

It comes as the Syrian army began a fresh assault on territory held by
the self-proclaimed Islamic State with support from Russian air
strikes.
