DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD

Every year since 1991 Africa recognises June 16th as the day of the African child.

The day is being marked this year with a report by the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, which is urging for more measures to be taken to protect the rights of children in Africa.
