US narrows sanctions regime against Burma / Myanmar

The Obama administration has narrowed and updated the sanctions regime for Myanmar, the country often called Burma in the West.

The U.S. wants to support trade and economic development, while retaining some sanctions against individuals who are trying to block reform in the country.
