Russia announce discussions with the United States over joint air strikes in Syria

Russia's Defense Ministry has announced discussions are underway with
the United States over the possibility of carrying out joint
airstrikes in Syria as early as May 25th.

Both sides are at odds when it comes to the role Syria's President
should play in the country's future but Russian officials say they
should coordinate in the fight against terrorist groups.
