Facebook to alter guidelines for trending topics after internal investigation

INTRO:
Facebook has announced they will change how they rank top trending
topics, following accusations of political bias in the process.

The company says it will minimize risks where human judgement is
involved and no longer depend on news sites to establish what
qualifies as a top story.
