Cosby to face full trial on sex assault charges

Bill Cosby is to face a full criminal trial on charges of sexual assault after a judge's decision in Philadelphia.


The actor and comedian could face ten years in jail if he's convicted.

The pre-trial hearing heard evidence from Cosby's accuser, Andrea Constand, who claims the actor assaulted her after drugging her with three pills.


That testimony was read in court, and District Attorney Kevin Steele told reports that there was no need for the accuser to make a personal appearance.

Attorney Gloria Allred who is representing some of Cosby's accusers, and she took issue with the comedian's legal claim that the sexual encounter had been consensual.
