Turkey promises to provide legal protection for non-Syrian refugees as part of EU-Turkey deal

Turkey is increasing the legal protection it offers to non-Syrian refugees to allow its deal with the European Union in tackling the migrant crisis to come into full effect.

The EU has been concerned about returning refugees to Turkey over the treatment they might receive.
