The debate to have Jacob Zuma impeached has started.
The South African Parliament argues that Mr. Zuma is unsuitable to stay in office.
Last week, the highest court in South Africa ruled that President Zuma disobeyed the constitution after he failed to repay government money which was used to upgrade his home.
The ruling African National Congress- the ANC - which holds the majority in South Africa's parliament is expected to overpower the motion.
The opposition meanwhile is calling for a secret ballot in order to influence ANC members to support the motion.
This appeal has been rejected by the parliament's speaker.
This is the latest of a line of corruption scandals that Mr Zuma has faced since taking office.
