US Air Force veteran guilty of trying to join Islamic State

A federal court in New York has found an Air Force veteran guilty of
trying to join the self-proclaimed Islamic State.

There have been 75 prosecutions in the United States since 2014
relating to IS sympathizers but this is the first court victory for
the US government.
