A deal has been reached to raise California's minimum wage according
to the state's Governor Jerry Brown, adding to a wave of minimum wage
increases at state level in the US. The proposal must still win
approval from moderate state assembly lawmakers, but it would seek to
raise the state's minimum wage to $15/hr from $7.25. The governor
would have power to amend the increase if the economy is struggling.
