Talks between U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi were complicated by reports of possible radar installations under construction in the South China Sea.
Earlier, the head of the U.S. Pacific Command told a Congressional panel that China is trying to gain hegemony over the region.
Secretary Kerry made it clear, the situation in the South China Sea is a difficult discussion point between Washington and Beijing.
