Bowe Bergdahl makes first court appearance, defers plea on desertion charges

Bowe Bergdahl, the US Army Sergeant who spent 5 years in Taliban captivity in Afghanistan, has made his first court appearance on charges of desertion.


He failed to enter a plea at the first session of his Court Martial at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
