Republican chaos as Speaker vote fails

The Republican Party in the U.S. House of Representatives is in chaos as the vote to name the next Speaker failed.

U.S. Representative Kevin McCarthy dropped out of the race to become the next speaker when John Boehner retires at the end of the month.
