Australian MP slams racist organisations following weekend protests

Australian Labor Minister Tony Burke has used federal parliament in Canberra to denounce the kind of hate speech that has been displayed across Australian TV screens and newspapers over the last week following the killing of New South Wales Police accountant Curtis Cheng at the hands of a radicalised muslim teenager.
Mr Burke didn't name any specific groups, but his comments follow on from protests in the Victorian city of Bendigo over the weekend by the so-called United Patriots Front.
