The UK says it will guarantee a $3.1bn deal for China to invest in Britain's first new nuclear power plant for two decades.
The move is designed to also encourage French energy firm EDF to make a final decision on investing in the project.
It's hoped the Hinkley Point nuclear power station will provide 7% of Britain's electricity from 2023 onwards.
Laith Khalaf from stockbroker Hargreaves Lansdown says the UK hopes its guarantee will lead to a series of collaborations with China.
