Tributes paid to novelist Jackie Collins, dead at 77

Friends and family have been paying tribute to Jackie Collins, the novelist who died on Saturday at the age of 77.

She'd been battling breast cancer for the past 6 years, but had waged her fight largely in private….telling only members of her immediate family, including her sister, the actress Joan Collins.

Jackie Collins was born in London but spent most of her adult life living in Los Angeles.

She wrote 32 novels…..nine of them were turned into movies or TV specials.

Throughout her career, her stories - imbued with sex, wealth and lust - sold more than 500 million copies.

The author Jilly Cooper says Jackie Collins was deeply admired by her fellow fiction-writers.
