Federal Reserve Officials Begin Two Day Policy Meeting

Officials at the US Federal Reserve have begun a two day meeting to consider whether to raise interest rates for the first time in nearly a decade.

The decision will be announced on Thursday - any rate hike would end the monetary stimulus policy the Fed began after the financial crisis of 2008.
