US President Jimmy Carter speaks openly about brain cancer diagnosis

Former US President Jimmy Carter has spoken publicly about his health for the first time since his recent cancer diagnosis.

He told a packed press conference that following a biopsy on his liver, doctors discovered the cancer had spread to his brain.

Speaking at the headquarters of the not-for-profit organization The Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia, The 90-year old appeared optimistic as he detailed the treatment he would undergo immediately.
