UK PAY INEQUALITY 'STRATOSPHERIC'

Chief Executives of FTSE 100 companies in the UK earn, on average, 183 times more than a full-time worker, according to the latest data.

The High Pay Centre says FTSE CEOs took home around $8m a year in 2014.

This compared to the UK average wage of around $42 000.

Trade union the TUC says the research shows inequality is now reaching 'stratospheric levels'.

Sir Michael Darrington, a former CEO and now boss of the Pro-Business Against Greed campaign group, says the pay packets aren't justified.
