The United States is trying to repair relations with Israel following the controversial international nuclear deal with Iran.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the deal will pave the way for Iran to get nuclear weapons, and there's reportedly been limited contact between Washington and Israel since it was agreed.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest says security co-operation between the US and Israel remains strong, and Washington is confident their differences can be overcome for the sake of mutual defence needs.
