US urges China to avoid "international instability" as US-China dialogue begins in Washington

The US is warning China that its territorial land-grab in the waters of the South China Sea threatens "international instability".


Vice President Joe Biden told the opening session of a top level meeting with Chinese officials in Washington that the United States wants to promote "rules-based" solutions to a series of disputes with Beijing.
