12 MEMBERS OF UK FAMILY 'TRAVEL TO SYRIA'

British police are investigating reports 12 members of the same family have travelled to Syria.

Three sisters and their nine children, aged 3 to 15, are feared to have crossed into Syria from Turkey, after a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

They were due home to Bradford in West Yorkshire last week.

It follows the news that a 17 year-old also from West Yorkshire was thought to have become Britain's youngest suicide bomber, with an attack on an oil refinery in Iraq.

Dr Adbul Bary Malik, a community activist based in Bradford, says the area is in shock about the news of the family thought to be in Syria.
