The White House confirms it has long term concerns about Venezuela's government but refused to comment on a Wall Street Journal report that the U.S. Justice Department on Caracas and drug trafficking.
The newspaper reports that Venezuela's National Assembly President Diosdado Cabello, the country's second most powerful leader, is considered the probable drugs cartel leader by American law enforcement.
U.S. Justice Department officials described the Venezuelan government as a criminal organization, but White House spokesman Josh Earnest would only confirm long-held concerns:
