US-Cuba talks 'highly productive'

The Obama administration is describing the latest round of talks between Washington and Havana as highly productive, but no specific annoucements on the re-opening of embassies or other issues was made.

The White House reversed course on relations with Cuba back in December and a series of meetings has been held with the goal of normalizing relations with the island nation just miles south of Miami, Florida.

Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Roberta S. Jacobson confirmed the teams got a lot done.

Josefina Vidal, Director General of the U.S. Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Cuba, confirmed that the focus of these talks was the re-opening of embassies.
