Palmyra falls to IS amid fears over ancient ruins

Islamic State has seized control of the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra, and there are now grave concerns for the future of 2,000 year-old ruins there.


IS fighters have been destroying antiquities in other parts of Syria and Iraq.


Our US correspondent Simon Marks says the United Nations is watching the situation with concern.
