CALLS FOR 2016 UK EU REFERENDUM GROW

Pressure is growing on UK Prime Minister David Cameron to hold an EU referendum in 2016.

He has promised an in-out referendum on Britain's membership of the European Union by 2017.

But Bank of England Governor Mark Carney has urged him to hold it as soon as possible to remove uncertainty for businesses.

And now Andy Burnham, Shadow Health Secretary and one of the front-runners in the race to become the opposition Labour Party's new leader, also says the vote should be held next year.

UK correspondent Olly Barratt says the Prime Minister will be aware of the potential trap being set for him by Labour.

IN: "David…
OUT: …achieve it."
