British navy dismisses allegations about nuclear sub security

In Britain, a Royal Navy technician says he will hand himself in to police after he criticized safety procedures surrounding the country's fleet of nuclear submarines.


William McNeilly says the Trident nuclear submarines anchored in Scotland are a "disaster waiting to happen".


He's been on the run since publishing an online article alleging serious security irregularities.


The Director General of Britain's Ministry of Defence, Rear Admiral Chris Parry, has gone public to say the allegations are nonsense.
