U.S. bishop resigns after having shielded pedophile priest

Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of a bishop in the U.S. state of Missouri who was found guilty of failing to report a suspected pedophile priest.

He was the the first U.S. bishop to have been convicted in a criminal court in such a case.
