JOHN MAJOR: LABOUR + SNP DEAL WOULD LEAD TO 'MAYHEM'

Former British Prime Minister John Major is entering the UK election race with a warning of 'mayhem' if the Labour Party forms a government supported by Scottish nationalists.

The SNP are set to win a raft of Westminster seats in Scotland and the Labour Party may need their votes to form a functional government.

Britain votes on May 7th and polls suggest the two largest parties the Conservatives and Labour will struggle to win a parliamentary majority.

And political reporter Theo Usherwood says former Conservative leader John Major's intervention is significant but potentially divisive.
