The International Monetary Fund has cast doubt on the speed with which the UK's finances are being returned to health.
In a blow to UK finance minister George Osborne as he campaigns in a general election on his economic record - the IMF predicts Britain will still face a budget deficit in 2019-2020.
Mr Osborne has played up independent forecasts which suggest the UK will have a $10bn surplus by that point thanks to government spending cuts.
