FOREIGN POLICY EMERGES IN UK ELECTION

Foreign Policy is taking centre stage in the UK election with Labour attacking the coalition government's record on Libya.

Labour leader Ed Miliband claims Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron failed to 'stand by' the country after military action in 2011.

Mr Miliband says that failure has contributed to the current migrant crisis in the Mediterannean.

And he insists Britain's influence on the world stage has crumbled under David Cameron's leadership.

Rosa Prince, Assistant Political Editor at the Telegraph, says it's a potentially risky move from Ed Miliband.

Meanwhile, the Conservative Party is launching an 'English manifesto', promising to move forward on plans to give MPs for English seats at Westminster a veto on issues which only affect England.

Currently Scottish, Welsh, and Northern Irish MPs are allowed to vote on these bills.

Rosa Prince, Assistant Political Editor at the Telegraph, says the Conservatives hope this will win votes back from anti-EU, anti-immigration UKIP.
