EU charging google over breaches of competition law

The European Union is set to formally accuse google of abusing its dominant position to favor its own products.

The US internet giant which handles around 90 per cent of European online searches will first face a charge of directing users unfairly towards its shopping results - but the case may be broadened out to encompass its entire operation.
