White House voices 'deep concerns' over Netanyahu remarks, as Sec. Kerry congratulates PM on win

The White House is deeply concerned about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's suggestion that left-wingers were trying to drive up the number of Arab-Israeli voters to sway the election against him.

Mr Netanyahu soundly defeated his main rival Issac Herzog to win a fourth term in office.

Ahead of his reelection the Prime Minister announced he would not allow a Palestinian state to be formed as long as he is running the country.

State department spokesperson Jen Psaki said the US will reexamine its approach to bringing peace to the region
