Utah's Governor signs firing squad law

Utah's Governor Gary Herbert has signed into law legislation that would allow the use of a firing squad in cases where the state could not obtain the drugs to carry out a death penalty sentence by lethal injection.

The death penalty is still legal in 32 American states, but authorities have been struggling with access to the drugs for lethal injection or executions that have been botched.
