U.S. gov’t shelves plan to ban armor-piercing bullets

The Obama administration has shelved its proposal to ban a popular form of armor-piercing ammunition known as "green tip" bullets.

The move, which is seen as a victory for gun rights organizations, comes amid criticism of the proposal from both lawmakers and the public.
