US aircraft attack IS inTikrit as Iranian-backed militia withdraw

A fierce battle is raging for the Iraqi city of Tikrit, in an attempt to free it from control by the self-declared Islamic State group.

American warplanes are now involved in the battle north of Baghdad, but as John Clarke reports, it's created a difficult political and military situation because of the presence of Iranian backed forces in the area.
