Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's party and a centre-left alliance face a tight race.
Mr Netanyahu says he will not allow the creation of a Palestinian state if he wins another term in office.
But the Zionist Union says it will work to improve relations with the Palestinians and the rest of the world.
The current Prime Minister may be able to form a new coalition even if his Likud party doesn't win the poll.
