The US Attorney General Eric Holder has called the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson, Missouri as a 'disgusting and cowardly' attack.
His words came as the two policemen were released from hospital, after suffering gunshot wounds in the worst outbreak of violence since protests erupted in the St. Louis suburb last summer.
One of the officers was shot just below the eye, the other in the shoulder.
