FBI offers help to French authorities investigating Germanwings air crash

The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation has offered it's assistance to the French authorities investigating the Germanwings air crash over the Alps.

French prosecutors believe the co-pilot, Andreas Lubitz, "intentionally" crashed the jet on Tuesday, killing himself and the 149 people on board.

Three Americans were among the victims.

Kate Fisher reports from Washington.
